1. Dalgona Coffee
Dalgona Coffee is a coffee trend that people are currently going crazy over on Tiktok. If you’re wondering what a Dalgona Coffee is, it is originally from South Korea and what you could say is a reverse latte where the steamed milk is replaced by frothed coffee and coffee is replaced by iced milk.
In case you are not fond of caffeine, you might want to replace coffee powder with matcha powder or Thai milk tea powder to make the drink caffeine-free.
  • 2 tbsp of instant coffee powder
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • Milk
  • Ice
1. Combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water and whisk until light and fluffy.
2. Pour the mixture into a glass of milk and ice.
3. Enjoy your Dalgona Coffee!
2. Pancake Cereal
The pancake cereal recipe has been making rounds on the internet - and for good reason. Although the concept was made famous through Tiktok, a similar breakfast dish is actually a staple in Dutch homes - called poffertjes - but instead are made from buckwheat flour and yeast, topped with butter and sugar. To make it at home, simply take your ordinary pancake batter and form coin-sized pancakes on the pan. Top it off with milk or maple syrup and breakfast pancakes will never be the same again!
  • 1 to 1.5 cups flour (adjust batter consistency to your liking)
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt
  • 3 to 5 tbsp milk (adjust batter consistency to your liking)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  1. Mix wet ingredients in one bowl
  2. Mix dry ingredients in another bowl
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients
  4. Put mixture into a piping bag (use a ziplock if you don’t have one, snip off the corner)
  5. Set your pan on low heat and add some butter
  6. Squeeze batter onto pan in small circles
  7. Cook each side for about 1 minute
  8. Once they’re done, you can put them in a bowl, and add any topping you like. (i.e butter, syrup, or even drown the pancake in milk)
A couple of tips to make your pancake cereal:
  1. Use a plastic squeeze bottle (normally used for ketchup or mustard) to easily pipe the pancake batter onto your pan to your desired size
  2. Add more flour if the batter is too thin
  3. Add more milk if the batter is too thick
