Fried Fish with Herb Sauce

Today’s recipe is inspired by Thai cuisine, which is always full of different ingredients and flavors. Despite it has a big number of ingredients and thus seems to be difficult in cooking, don’t get afraid. In fact, this dish is not more complicated than any other. Just try it ;)

Ingredients:

    1 whole fish
  • 2 Tbsp corn starch
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil (for deep frying)
  • 1 diced lime
  • ¼ cup sliced lemongrass
  • ¼ cup roasted peanut
  • ¼ cup mint leave
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh chili (optional)
  • 4 Tbsp lime juice
  • 4 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 Tbsp simple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp dry chili

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oil for 350 C.
  2. Season the fish with salt and pepper and coat it with the corn starch. Deep fry it for about 10 minutes on each side (until cooked).
  3. Mix lime juice, fish sauce, simple syrup, dry chili and water in a bowl.
  4. Then add all your rest ingredients (except mint leaves) into a bowl, toss it and pour over the fish.
  5. Sprinkle with some mint leaves on top.
